Are All Russian Women Beautiful?
I’ve heard a statement that all Russian women are beautiful a number of times and even though it is very flattering to hear (since I am a Russian woman myself), this is not true.
Russian women have some specific facial features, which some Western men love, when the others don’t. However, there is a reason why the myth that all Russian women are beautiful is widespread.
Here is the thing. Not all Russian women are beautiful, but all (well, 99%) Russian women WANT to be beautiful and attractive for men. Therefore, they take a very good care of themselves. They will not allow themselves to go out to work in oversized sweatpants and with messy hair. They rarely gain weight and if they do gain some (after pregnancy for example), they work really hard to get rid of it.
Russian women and men believe that physical importance is very important for women. Not so much for men, because men’s strengths should be brain and strength. In Russia they say than women are “beautiful gender” and men are “strong gender.” Russian women don’t have a problem admitting that men might be stronger and sometimes, in certain things smarter than them. However, women are considered to be better in some other things. Appearance is one of them.
It doesn’t matter if a Russian woman has children and how old she is. She will always try to look beautiful; she will take her time to do her hair and to put make up on. She will watch what she eats to stay in shape and stay healthy. You rarely ( if ever) see a Russian woman eating junk food.
Also, Russian women are very feminine and they like to emphasize it. This is another reason why some people say that all Russian women are beautiful. According to a number of studies, men prefer women who are feminine (consciously or subconsciously), so this feature makes Russian women attractive to many Western men. They like to wear skirts and high heels and they gestures and body language are usually feminine as well.

Hmm..you however, managed to stereotype Russian women again. I’m none of those things (except I’m not fat) and I do believe that brain is just as important if not more, than appearance. I know other Russian ladies who believe so as well.
I know. Guilty.:-) I find it hard trying to describe culture without stereotyping. I am usually trying to write “majority” of women instead of all women. In my experience, however, Russian women care much more about their appearance than American women, but it doesn’t mean they don’t think brains are not important. I do know a few Russian ladies who only care about their looks and their husbands money, but they are exceptions to the rule. In my other articles I wrote that Russian women are usually intelligent and well-educated.
